Eight teams will enter, but only one team will emerge victorious!
Details Below!
Red Team Rumble is a tournament in which teams compete in a castle vs. castle event.
Teams are tasked with protecting their systems and services while identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in other teams' castles.
By defending their own services and attacking opponents' systems, teams get points for controlling services and flags.
Saturday, Aug 10, 2024 10:00am-6:00pm
The event will be held at the Red Team Village Competition Area at DefCon 32
Nothing! At least not yet!
This is a special event we're trying out this year. The top team will win the ultimate bragging rights, stating that they can out-hack and out-defend the other teams. Maybe we'll end up getting some prizes?
Teams will defend their "Castle," a virtual environment comprising several systems and services (Windows and Linux systems will be included).
Each castle has exposed services and exploitable vulnerabilities, along with a few hidden extras.
Identify and patch vulnerabilities within your "Castle" to protect your systems while keeping critical services online and infiltrating other team castles.
Earn points by safeguarding your Castle, securing objectives, or completing tasks within other teams' Castles.
Remember, time is of the essence! Each round lasts just two hours, so every second counts!
Battle Group A:
10:30am - 12:30pm
(1st 4 teams compete, top two scores advance)
Battle Group B:
1:00pm - 3:00pm
(2nd 4 teams compete, top two scores advance)
Final Showdown:
3:30pm - 5:30pm
(2 teams advancing from each of Group A and B; teams compete, top score wins)
